Album information and sales

The album went Diamond in Mexico with sales over 850,000 copies, and worldwide sales surpass the 3 million copies.[citation needed]

Their first national tour, Tour Generacion RBD, sold out every single date (the group offered 35 concerts in Mexico, starting May 13th and ending August 28th in Auditorio Nacional).

The album was also certified platinum in Brazil. Due the success of the Spanish languaged album, they recorded a Portuguese languaged version of Rebelde too, this being Rebelde (Edição Brasil). RBD became the first foreign act in Brazil to have two albums in different languages (Portuguese version and Spanish version of Rebelde) in the top ten at the same time (both albums peaked at #1).

In 2006, the album was released in Spain too. RBD topped the AFYVE Spain Albums Chart with their debut album "Rebelde" for four consecutive weeks and it has been certificed Platinum with estimated sales of 80.000 units.

Live in Hollywood (RBD live album)

Live in Hollywood is the fourth album (2nd live album) of the successful mexican pop-group RBD, released on April 4th in the U.S. and Mexico. Live in Hollywood was recorded on RBD's first L.A. (Los Angeles) concert in January 2006 (Jan. 21st) in Los Angeles's famous Pantages Theater. The concert was live, but had a different style for both the group's music and the fans, the concert was acoustic.

The first single off this album is the new song called "No pares", sung by Dulce Maria; the song is already a success in Mexican radio stations. The song was written by Lynda Thomas, an artist that writes songs for RBD with producer Carlos Lara. The song "Me Voy" is a translation of the Kelly Clarkson song "Gone", featured on her sophomore album "Breakaway". Also the song "Solo quédate en silencio" from RBD's first album, Rebelde, was changed with a new tune, a more acoustic vibe and the group's re-recorded vocals.

RBD third studio album

It has been announced that RBD will release their first Eglish studio album in the United States in the fall of 2006. While on tour in the Unites States early this year, it was also announced that the band was to record a few songs from legend pen Diane Warren. Many sources have also revealed two entitled songs from this new album, those include "Tu Amor," and "I Wanna Be the Rain," both penned by Diane Warren. [1]

As of the week of 7/31 it was announced by Pedro Damian, producer, that the new single is completely in English and would hit radios in the American market within the next few weeks, although he spoke of such news, he never actually stated the name of the new single.
